About FairMark Studio
We make money tools that play fair.
FairMark Studio is a small, independent shop based in Victoria, Australia, built by people who've juggled fortnightly pay and quarterly bills themselves.
The story
FairMark Studio started with a simple frustration. Most budget templates we came across were built for someone else: paid monthly, billed in US dollars, with labels that needed a finance degree to understand. Meanwhile, real Australian money life is fortnightly pays, weekly rent, quarterly bills and yearly rego, all landing at different times.
So we started building the tools we wished existed. They're spreadsheets that do the awkward maths quietly in the background and then tell you what it means in plain English: what to set aside this payday, which pay is going to be tight, and how long until a debt is gone.
What “fair” means here
Fair prices
Pay once and keep it. No subscriptions, no “premium tier” hiding the useful bits.
Fair words
Plain English, no jargon and no guilt trips. Everyone's money situation is different, and nobody needs a lecture.
Fair with your data
The tools work offline on your own computer or in your own Google Drive. We never see your numbers, and we don't need your bank login.
Fair about limits
We're not financial advisers, and the tools don't pretend to be one. They help you see your numbers clearly. For personal advice or if things feel overwhelming, free services like the National Debt Helpline are brilliant.
Why the name?
“Fair” is the promise: fair prices and fair dealing. A “mark” is the tick you make when a bill's paid or a goal's reached. Put them together and you've got the whole idea: honest tools that help you tick things off.
What's next
The first tool is the Fortnightly Budget & Debt Payoff Planner. Next up are trackers for buy now pay later, sole trader GST and BAS, payments, investments and projects.
